I get that they changed it from reading below, but why? Why wait until the last episode? Were they thinking the show would last longer? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Utsi_0YF5yA "In the sixth and final season of "77 Sunset Strip" (ABC-TV, 1958-1964), the decision was made to fire all of the series' actors except for Efrem Zimbalist Jr. and give the show a more noirish tilt. Jack Webb, of "Dragnet" fame, and actor William Conrad were brought in to change everything around. They even dropped the familiar, kicky "77 Sunset Strip" theme music"
