Fake people on tv shows

This guy on FB was saying how there wasn't a Mule Saunders, and he uses that name if he wants to give someone a fake name as himself.

I know there is an Alvera Drummond in the Waltons. She is in the actress. She is fake as well.

Did you ever look up a character to see if they were real or not like Joe Namath and oh crap, the football player that Beaver called and was in the Brady Bunch?

I always found it interesting LITB's writers using the name "Mule" for the football player. Mule can be construed as derogatory. I've never heard of an athlete with Mule as a nickname other than LITB. I had a job as a teen where braindead laborers with no capacity for advancement were called mules (behind their back). LITB's Mule was very bright and articulate.

There have been some baseball players nicknamed Mule, including Negro Leaguer Mule Suttles, who is a Hall of Famer.

On Dick van Dyke Show, Rob Petrie calls his agent George Shapiro. The real George Shapiro was Carl Reiner's agent, and he went on to represent Jerry Seinfeld and executive produce Seinfeld.
