Default Larry King / DVD news

The "Larry King" appearance I mentioned a while back has been rescheduled for next Thurs. It's going to be the WHOLE cast pretty much, except for Mary herself (I have no idea why she's not going to be there.). Unfortunately, it's not going to be aired live.

Also, I just saw Ed on Fox News, and he said that he's releasing ALL 7 SEASONS on DVD eventually!!!!! Yay!!!!! My prayers have been answered!

Just thought I'd pass the good news on to other fans!

Hope everyone saw Larry King tonight. It was great memories seeing the cast together. There will never be sitcoms again like we had in the 70's!! Thanks for the great times!!

I agree completely!!! My one complaint is that I wish they had talked more about the DVD and Ed's plans for subsequent seasons. And of course, it would've been better with Mary there, but hey you can't have everything, right? It was really nice to see everyone there together. You can really see how much they genuinely liked/like each other.

I didn't see the show but at one gossip group they said there
seems to some tension between Cloris
Leachman and the rest. Anyone else get the impression they were trying
to get some digs at her that she didn't seem to entirely welcome?

I saw it and loved it! And yes, it would have been even better with Mary there too (BTW, where was Georgia Engle and why didn't they even mention her once during the interview?) I know I had a couple questions about things they said, but I've forgotten them. I'll have to go back and watch it again (darn!) and post again later.

As for tension with Cloris, I don't think so. She just has a very strong personality and a very dry sense of humour so sometimes she might come off as 'not playing well with others' for lack of a better way to put it. I think they all like each other, but you can tell which cast members are the closest with each other. Seems everyone was really close with Mary IMO.

And I never knew all that about the cast members of "Phyllis" all dying. That's horrible. And while we're on the subject, did Lisa Gerritsen (sp?) drop off the face of the earth? I haven't seen her/heard mention of her since TMTMS. I'd be curious to see what she's like now.

I remember my question now. Gavin McLeod said that he had been on TDVDS twice. What other episode was he in besides being the gum snapping jewlrey salesman in the Empress Carlotta episode?

That's a good question, Becki. I checked several episode guides, and I only found him in "Empress Carlotta's Necklace". But I really think he was on the show twice. I just seem to remember him being on again (Obviously, I'd recognize him if I saw him, LOL!) and I think Gavin would know how many times he was on the show. Now you've got me curious! Does anyone out there know?

Becki, maybe you should try posting this on the TDVDS board, you might get an answer there.
