Two episodes that come to mind are the Givaway(Chico takes on a second job)and Louie's Retirement. I think they are excellant examples of the growing friendship and close relationship between Chico and Ed.The warmth and love just shines through and also lets the audience in on the off screen friendship and respect these two talented and gifted men obviously had for each other. I am glad that Chico and the Man is being recognized and will allow new generations of fans to love and enjoy the show the way we fans enjoyed it in the 70's.

You are right. The relationship that Chico
and the Man shared is what keeps me watching the shows over and over. Such a loving relationship. You could tell that they loved each other off the show as well as on. I wish I could hear the eulogy that Jack delivered at Freddie's funeral, I bet it was very moving. Was not able to tape the E special. I feel so bad that I missed that show. Would have loved to have seen it. |
