An I Love Lucy Income Tax Day:

(Fred & Ricky are talking to Lucy & Ethel.)

Ricky: “Now Lucy, me and Fred are going to the IRS office. I know that us and you two have to take two different cars due to our respective schedules.”

Lucy: “We know that.”

Ricky: “Here are the directions. You take THESE directions and not the ones that you claim are better.”

Lucy: “But Ricky, I know that these directions are better than yours. They are more relaxed.”

Ricky: “More relaxed? WHAT?”

Fred: “I agree with Ricky. Those directions are perfect.”

Ethel: “Says the person who still relies on outdated maps.”

(Ricky laughs.)

Lucy: “Don’t worry Ricky. We will get there on time.”

Ricky: “All right. See ya.”

(The boys leave.)

Lucy: “We are going to use my directions. I promise you that we will get to the IRS office before the boys.”

Ethel: “Good girl.”

Lucy: “Fort once, I will have a head start on Ricky as far as money goes. We will get there before 6p.”

(It is 11:40p. The girls are stuck in traffic. Ricky and Fred are on the cell phone and they are talking to the girls and Ricky is yelling in Spanish.)

Ricky (yells): “LUCY, WHAT DID I TELL YOU TWO IN REGARDS TO THE DIRECTIONS?”

Lucy: “Awww ewwww…”

Ricky: “If you get trouble, oh boy.”

(Cops come after the girls. Lucy, who is driving, is speeding.)

Ricky: “Don’t tell me that you are speeding?”

Lucy: “No, I just went over the speed limit.”

(Ricky yells in Spanish.)

(After 12a on April 16, the girls arrive home.)

Ricky: “Well Lucy, what do you have to say for yourself? Don’t tell me that you didn’t make the deadline?”

Lucy: “We did at the 11:59p mark but…”

Ricky: “What?”

Lucy: “Here you go.”

(Ricky reads the papers.)

Ricky: “These are five speeding tickets. Each valued at $1,000 each.”

(Ricky starts muttering in Spanish. Lucy runs away by locking herself into the kitchen.)
