I don't know why, but I find the post-Freddie Prinze "Chico" episodes SO very depressing to watch. Raul is cute and all, but it just seems like everyone is going through the motions, trying to keep something alive that died a while ago. If TV Land is going to air "Chico And The Man" on a regular basis, I really should get over this "Chico-less" episode depression.
Any advice for dealing with this? |

Dear Lou There is no getting over the Chico less episodes . They should have let the show die with Freddie maybe after a "Farewell Tribute" but they thought the good ratings would continue. It just goes to show what an incredible talent we lost with Freddie Prinze. You just cant replace greatness . May he rest in peace God bless

I think that Chico and the Man was a halfway decent show after Freddie's suicide.Raul was a great addition to the show. The best(even though it was sad)episode was the one where he ran away.I'm sure every fan finds that one really sad to watch. But in a way,it was a great tribute to Freddie Prinze. But personally,I liked the later episodes.

I agree, it was not appropiate to air the show after the death of Chico. I have a hard time watching the latter episodes. Chris M

I felt it had turned into just another sitcom, had lost its spark when Freddie died. Also, Jack was looking kind of worse for wear, I imagine that was the cancer.

I personally stopped watching the show after Freddie died. His death shocked me. We were the same age. I was a huge fan. I watch the re-runs now, & I saw Raul. At first I got sad again after so many years I even watched the Raul episodes. I loved Freddie though...... "REST IN PEACE FREDDIE - I LOVED YOU"
