Question Why suicide?

I have read the biography but I am not AT ALL clear on why Freddie Prinze killed himself..He should have been happy with 6 million a year money, fame, etc...
I am aware of his drug/alchohol problem but I still dont understand why the suicide.. Does anyone know the reason why??? Just " He had a drug problem" is too vague of an answer for me.. I need more to understand it.. Many people have drug problem but dont kill themselves....what specifically was the reason.
Thanks,
Perry182

part of the reason he killed his self was because of drugs and the pressures of fame.also his wife had divorced him.he was really depressed about her and his son living him.now this is what i have read in books .

In truth, money doesn't buy happiness and fame can be a giant pain in the. He should've listened to the theme song of his show. Instead of killing himself he could've gotten help, dealt with his marital and drug problems and lived to go on and see his son grow up.

I was 11 when he did it and I was just disgusted and angry while my friends were all crying and lighting candles. I thought it was such a waste of life. I noticed he was looking pretty rough towards the end, that the makeup was being piled on and sometimes he had trouble keeping his eyes open. Too bad, I think he could've been going now even though in today's PC times he would've been skewered.

It was late one night by the pale moonlight all the vegetables gave a spree.

You are asking people on this board "WHY" Freddie Prinze committed suicide? Do you really think anyone in the world but Freddie Prinze could answer such a stupid question? People kill themselves for all kinds of reasons. Do you think 6 million a year automatically makes someone happy? Have fun with your stupid speculation.

He was under a doctor's care he was seeing a psychiatrist and instead of helping him he would prescribe qualudes (Can't spell the word). Freddie would take them besides cocaine and drink. He was suicidal but, no one thought to send him to a hospital. Back then times were different then they are today. Believe me! Back then Freddie was giving out the signals like crazy. You'll see him in the later episodes. The lost of weight etc. Those signals were loud & clear. It was not meant to be.
