In the 80's Richard Simmons was known as the fitness king and was seen everywhere in talk shows making guest appearances in sitcoms and everything else. But when he decided to branch out into selling products Richard never ever knew that products would make him a even bigger household name but it was this product that made Richard Simmons a big star. That product became known as Richard Simmons's Deal-A Meal and to honor it's debut a thrilling commercial was made and you hear the famous Deal-A Meal chant you'll know the audience is hyped about this product. The Deal-A Meal was such a success that Richard began selling more products like hawking his line of diet foods called Slimmons and starting his own diet advice column in Woman's World Magazine and beginning work on his next project "which we also have a thread on these video commercials" the popular Sweating To The Oldies series. The Deal-A Meal is no longer sold in the market today but Richard Simmons did release a newer remix of the Deal-A Meal called Richard Simmons Foodmover. When people think of Richard Simmons I can honestly say that the Deal-A Meal Diet System actually turned Richard into a merchandise king because I think he knew that he would try to become like Ron Popeil by hawking this product and you can see why the Deal-A Meal became a hot selling product in the world and would lead Richard Simmons to his other bestselling products his Sweating To The Oldies video series and other exercise videos. And based on the success of the Deal-A Meal this probably inspired Richard Simmons to market his own line of foods called Slimmons that was sold at Walmart. I wonder who will sell the Richard Simmons merchandise now that Richard is gone? Because I remember in the 90's Richard Simmons was gonna sell his products on QVC and QVC was gonna also have exclusive Richard Simmons products and sell the Deal-A Meal system exclusively
