Who was Ray in Ahsoka? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I was watching Ahsoka and at the end of the first episode it showed this message "FOR OUR FRIEND RAY" and it left me curious at first who Ray was? Was Ray one of the episode writers of Ahsoka or a producer? And did Ray die because that's the first thing that came to mind when this message?

I just finally figured out the meaning of the "FOR OUR FRIEND RAY" message in Ahsoka. It was Ray Stevenson's final appearance in Ahsoka before his death last year and I had no idea Ray Stevenson was in Ahsoka but from what I've seen in Ahsoka he was very talented in it
Was this first Ahsoka episode indeed Ray Stevenson's final appearance before he died?
