I'm not much help on this, but I think Frasier said his father was dead. I don't recall any mention of a brother.
Anyone else? |

I believe, in the episode "Send in the Crane", when Frasier is a clown for a birthday party (which he compares to acting), he talks about his father who wanted him to be a scientist. Then, when Frasier was in the school play, his father didn't go to see him because he didn't support him acting, or something like that. And then, when Frasier finally found a job in the "sciene"-ish profession (psychologist - which isn't very sciencey, but oh well), he said his dad wasn't there to see him because his dad was dead. I think that's how it went. I'm not sure if that's the episode it was in though. It might have been the episode where Woody was in the play "Our Town". That episode was called "Two Girls for Every Boyd."
And then, to explain why he lied about his father being dead, I think in a Frasier episode, he mentions that he made up the story because he was embarrassed by his real family. Hope this helps. |

On Cheers, Frasier mentioned his father a few times being a world renowned scientist who passed away. He never made mention of a brother, however, I believe in an early episode who quickly mentioned a sister. I believe.

OH! Sorry this is an old post but Frasiers dad on Frasier is on one of the episodes...Its when Gary's old towne tavern puts up like billboards and everything and Rebecca hires a person to make up a Jingle for Cheers...The person that makes the Jingle is Frasiers dad!

I was watching some show about Frasier and Cheers. And they mentioned when they decided to do the Frasier spin-off they had to create a dad that was dead and a brother that never existed. I beleive their was an episode of Frasier where Ted guest starred as Sam and told Martie that Frasier said his dad was dead.
