When I would watch Rugrats I never figured out why Chuckie was always scared of things and never got over his fears? Was he afraid that whatever scared him would hurt him at times? Like in one episode Chuckie gets a new big-boy bed but is afraid of a monster in it but it later turns out Chuckie's scary "monster" is actually Chaz Finster's sweater and in the Rugrats episode A Rugrats Vacation Chuckie is terrified of clowns and it shocked me that they would make Chuckie scared of some things. Were there any episodes of Rugrats where Chuckie is brave?

The reason why I think Chuckie was so afraid of things on Rugrats was because I think the creators wanted a character that could conquer bravery but be scared at the same time. But if you look at Chuckie on any Rugrats episode he seems to take after his father Chaz because Chaz Finster is afraid of things too. And they put his personality into Chuckie and while Tommy Pickles is meant to be brave Chuckie was meant to be Tommy's sidekick who was fearful at times
