Which short lived prime time cartoon series that used pop culture refrences, and were canceled twice (Family Guy was offically canceled once but in 2000 Fox sat on the series for a long time and the writers thought it would be canceled so they got new jobs, that is the closest thing to being canceled), do you like better. Family Guy or the Critic?
I like both shows, but I like Family Guy better? |

Well, I really don't like either one, but FG was better than TC. I hated TC.

Family Guy. I've been watching it on TBS and Cartoon Network. It's funny.
But I do admit back when The Critic was first on I loved it. Jon Lovitz is the man. Then, it was on comedy central...I didn't watch it very much since it was early in the morning. |

BTW, I wonder why The Critic hasn't made it to DVD yet? |

Chiming in Late on this one, but, really, they're both good
And, to tell the truth, it's like comparing apples and oranges. YEAH, you're comparing cartoons (fruit in the above metaphor), but they're totally different animals. BTW: Critic got released on DVD (Complete SEries in 1 Set + Webisodes) about a month or two ago. |

I wish to amend my vote.
Having watched "Family Guy" repeatedly on DVD, I think it is funnier. Since "Critic" is now on DVD, I think I will pick it up. I can add to my "cancelled cartoons" DVD collection. |

The Critic. It had better characters and better writing than Family Guy; there was actual character comedy and story interest. The Critic's movie parodies were funnier than FG's too.

Hate FG but, loved the Critic in the first season, then they "revamped " it and it became soon-to-be-cancelled crap! nuff said
