At my work place they were spring cleaning and ran cross a 12 pack of can Pepsi (12 oz) that had expired 3 years ago. Curiosity got the best of me to test it to see whether it is still taste Ok or not. After chilling it down and taking couple of sips, it did not taste too bad. The sweetness was reduced a bit, but still very bubbly and sharp.
One probably couldn't tell the difference drinking expired can of soda if they didn't know. |

when you open it and it still fizzes. _______________________ Carbonated soft drinks or sodas are not perishable, and are safe past the date stamped on the container. Eventually flavor and carbonation will decrease. For best quality, consume unopened diet sodas within 3 months after the date expires; regular sodas within 9 months. After opening, sodas may be safely stored in the pantry or refrigerator. By any chance, do you have an open "baking soda" container in the refrigerator to absorb odors? |

IDK ? I'm a little funny when it comes to expired food items. I avoid them with the exception of bagged fresh spinach or lettuce , if it still looks fresh, not too limp or soggy , I will still eat it after the expiration date .
