Default Unexpected Visitor Last Night

About 7:30PM my doorbell rang, highly unusual....so I made it over to the door turned on light outside and said "who's there"...and the person mumbled something...so I cautiously cracked the door open and this strange woman was standing there and started to tell me a story that she lived in the front at one time and I said I never saw you blah blah blah....and then I said I need to close my door and she asked for a soda and I said I have none...

So I'm thinking about this and called my on site mgmt person and he told me a homeless woman is trying to sleep on the porch in the front and brought her "things" in and was then walking around the bldg and rang my door bell. It never entered my mind that she was homeless SOUL and now it all fits... This City is getting worse and will there even be REPAIR of it and all that has happened and happening......

So I keep my door locked FOR SURE and more cautious than ever.....Very Very Sad way so many are living..... and in such a highly industrialized world...

I'm hearing this morning, the woman slept on the front porch last night and this morning the mgmt attempted to get her to leave and she would not, so police were called....no arrest but they told her to Move On.....

The stories I hear from around the U.S. on the horrors of what is happening. Many/Most are Drugged up and don't want to Clean Up as they are given every chance to by the social services.....

I feel terribly sorry for ALL as everyone living close to a large city especially has had to change their lives. I use to feel sorry but now I'm more angry, many don't want to be rehabed. My daughter sent me a note about the mess around her townhome and omg, terrible..... I may post it but she does not hold back on what she thinks. Again if you live in smaller cities you don't experience this stuff...

People living around here all talk about the fear they live in and for their children....you don't know Dude....

Of all the big cities in the USA, Los Angeles probably got the the worst homeless people problem. And that is mostly due to LA having most favorite weather in the nation. A homeless person doesn't have to fight the weather worrying for being too cold or too hot when living on the street. A tent on the street corner will be just fine.

There are reports in my surrounding neighborhoods of homeless people coming into the areas. It's sad but also scary.

This is caused by:

1) Releasing mentally ill people from mental institutions years ago to give them their "freedom"

2) The scourge of drugs and easing of drug laws

3) Obviously, the influx of illegals

You forgot to mention all the leaders of the big states like CA, NY, IL and the rest I mentioned....and yes many find their way to CA for the warm sidewalks and it's sanctuary city status like NY too...and social services...but if they really cleaned up they would have to Work and they don't want that or can't get it...

Your #1 above was happening in the 60's I believe and my aunt was approached to take her mental son to her home, she could not take care of him, so I recall a lot of the mental cases were housed in motel rooms....she had one mental child at home already, boy did she have her hands full and a hard life with her chhildren...

So so much has taken place in the decades following, one being Viet Nam..and all the destroyed men coming "home"...

Not improving here, getting worse if anything, and heard a figure like 3000+died on the streets in the last year or so...

The leaders of the state keep saying we gotta clean up all this before Olympics which I believe are 2028, they don't want the world to see how bad it is here ...
