"Cabin Pressure" is a very funny little radio series that I've been listening to. It's 26 half-hour episodes, made in four series between 2008 and 2014. Stars are Stephanie Cole (Waiting for God, Doc Martin), Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock), Roger Allam, and John Finnimore (who is also the creator/writer). Those four are the only regular cast.
So, Cole owns a one-plane charter airline, which might carry passengers, livestock, or anything else, to literally anywhere in the world. Cumberbatch is the serious young Captain, Allam the breezy experienced co-pilot, Finnimore is the wacky steward. The episodes are all neatly packaged on youtube: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL...pghjrx3o-7etU3 The 26 episode titles run more or less alphabetically, and each episode is named for that episode's destination city. I think the majority of the action takes place while the plane is in the air, which of course would be difficult to do on TV. It's funny. |
