Sid Vicious Dies: Pro Wrestler Whose Career Ended with a Gruesome Televised Injury was 63
by Greg Evans
August 26, 2024

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_sssFfmIDc

Pro wrestler Sid Vicious, a star at the height of the WrestleMania era of the early 1990s whose career ended with a horrific (and televised) leg injury, has died after battling cancer for several years. He was 63.

His death was announced on social media by son Gunnar Eudy.

He was a man of strength, kindness, and love, and his presence will be greatly missed,” Gunnar Eudy wrote about Vicious.

Born Sidney Raymond Eudy on December 6, 1960, he also went by the ring names Lord Humungous, Vicious Warrior, Sid Justice and Sycho Sid.

Taking his most enduring ring name from the doomed punk rocker and Sex Pistols bassist who died in 1979, Eudy began wrestling in 1987, rising to national prominence two years later when he joined World Championship Wrestling. Moving over to the WWE in 1991 as Sid Justice, Eudy entered into a notorious feud with Hogan a year later.

In the early to mid-1990s, Eudy was among the headliners for the popular WrestleMania events. Winning various world championships for both the WWE and WCW, Eudy also took part in 1997 on Monday Night Raw.

Eudy’s grappling career came to a stomach-churning end in what remains one of the ghastliest moments in televised wrestling history: During a pay-per-view match in January 2001, Eudy jumped off a turnbuckle and landed badly, his left leg snapped and dangling at a grotesque angle, bones poking through his skin.

Decades later, Eudy would remember the life-changing injury in a TV interview, saying that he was still recuperating from a shoulder injury when he was convinced by a WCW executive to return and perform the rope jump. Although Eudy agreed to the return, the stunt, he said, “was something I didn’t want to do and I wasn’t comfortable doing.

Mr. McMahon chronicles the rise and fall of Vince McMahon, controversial businessman and co-founder of WWE.

From his transformation of the WWE from a small, regional business into a global entertainment powerhouse to the explosive sexual misconduct allegations that led to his eventual resignation, this six-episode series offers a deep dive into McMahon’s life and his enduring franchise.

Culled from over 200 hours of interviews with McMahon himself (prior to his resignation), his family members, business associates and some of the most iconic names in wrestling history, as well as the journalists who uncovered McMahon’s allegations — filmmaker Chris Smith (Tiger King) and executive producer Bill Simmons (30 for 30) present an unflinching, no-holds-barred look at one of the most enigmatic figures in sports entertainment.

by Tom Tapp
July 29, 2025

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xVzetkL_hI

Universal Orlando and Hollywood have added a haunted attraction based on WWE’s legendary The Wyatt Sicks.

Visitors will go head-to-head with Uncle Howdy and The Wyatt Sicks in an experience that honors the legacy of Bray Wyatt. The WWE’s chilling crew of five each have their own horrific domains.

Those include Uncle Howdy together with Ramblin Rabbit, Mercy the Buzzard, Abby the Witch and Huskus the Pig. Guests will also be stalked by The Fiend, Bray’s sadistic alter ego.

Halloween Horror Nights kicks off at Universal Orlando Resort on Friday, August 29 and at Universal Studios Hollywood on Thursday, September 4.

Tickets are on sale now.

by Lauren Huff
October 28, 2025

Mike Rotunda, a WWE legend known as IRS and father of the late wrestler Bray Wyatt, has entered hospice at 67, according to his loved ones.

Barry Windham, a retired professional wrestler and Rotunda’s brother-in-law, revealed the news in a recent interview with Bill Apter at the Glory Days Grapple Con 3 wrestling fan convention on Saturday.

"It’s kinda tough right now. Mike is in hospice right now," Windham told Apter without providing further details. "So anyway, that family, I love that family, but you know, it just is so tragic."
