Debuting next month is a new movie about the life of reggae singer Bob Marley titled Bob Marley One Love. This movie will follow Bob's amazing legacy and life through his music until his tragic death in 1980. I think Bob Marley One Love will be a masterpiece and will surely be a great movie for any Bob Marley fan

It has been announced that Bob Marley One Love will debut in theaters Valentine's Day. As with movies about music stars I think this movie will introduce fans to Bob Marley's music and I think it will do very well on it's opening day. Who will be playing Bob Marley? Because the preview doesn't mention what actors are in the movie

"Bob Marley: One Love" Opens at #1 during President's Day Weekend
Bob Marley Biopic Beats Expectations with $51 Million Holiday Debut, Madame Web Collapses
by Rebecca Rubin Feb. 18, 2024 Paramount’s musical biopic Bob Marley: One Love ruled in its box office debut, beating expectations with $27.7 million over the traditional weekend and $51 million during the six-day holiday stretch. It was initially projected to generate $30 million to $35 million between Valentine’s Day on Wednesday and Presidents’ Day on Monday and it has landed an encouraging “A” CinemaScore from moviegoers. Overseas, One Love added $29 million from 47 territories, bringing its initial global tally to an impressive $80 million. The biopic cost $70 million to produce, and since theater owners get to keep half of the ticket sales, it’ll need to keep singing on the big screen to justify its price tag. Meanwhile, Sony’s superhero suspense thriller Madame Web, starring Dakota Johnson as a paramedic with psychic abilities and an association to Spider-Man, opened in second place with $17.6 million over the traditional weekend and $25.8 million during the same six-day period. Those are disappointing figures considering it cost $80 million to produce and tens of millions more to promote and put in theaters. The film launched internationally with $25.7 million from 61 markets. In a distant third place, Matthew Vaughn’s spy thriller Argylle collected $4.72 million over the three-day weekend and an estimated $5.55 million through the holiday on Monday. After three weeks of release (two of which were spent at No. 1), Apple’s $200 million-budgeted caper has grossed a tragic $37.2 million in North America and $76 million globally. Universal and Illumination’s animated comedy Migration moved up to No. 4 with $3.75 million over the weekend and an estimated $5 million through Monday. After nine weeks of release, the family film has grossed $116 million at the domestic box office and $254 million worldwide. Wonka rounded out the top five and remained at the top of box office charts for the 10th consecutive weekend. The Warner Bros. film added $3.49 million over the weekend and $4.4 million through President’s Day. The $125 million movie has become a financial success with $210 million in North America and $604 million worldwide. The faith-based TV series The Chosen brought in $3.5 million over the traditional weekend and $4.1 million through Monday. Fathom Events is rolling out the show’s Season 4 exclusively in cinemas with two-week runs of episodes. This weekend’s run included episodes four through six. Ticket sales steeply declined from episodes one through three, which generated $6 million in its opening and $14 million during its run. Episodes seven and eight will screen in theaters at the end of the month. https://variety.com/2024/film/box-of...nd-1235915397/ February 16-19, 2024: Weekend Studio Estimates 1. Bob Marley: One Love $51,071,205 2. Madame Web $25,804,619 3. Argylle $5,550,000 / $37,298,480 4. Migration $5,000,000 / $116,077,995 5. The Beekeeper $3,907,000 / $60,548,503 6. Country singer Kacey Musgraves performs Bob Marley's classic hit Three Little Birds on the Bob Marley One Love soundtrack and I'm hopeful this cover will score at next year's Oscars. It is surprising that Bob Marley's career has been chosen to be a movie and I think if any music themed movie will be a hit this one will be the one and introduce new fans to Bob Marley's music

Bob Marley Leads Over Demon Slayer as Ordinary Angels and Drive-Away Dolls Stumble
by Rebecca Rubin Feb. 25, 2024 Paramount’s musical biopic Bob Marley: One Love ruled again over a barren box office landscape. The film added $13.5 million from 3,925 North American theaters in its second weekend of release, a 53% decline from its debut. Bob Marley: One Love has been a surprise box office success with $71.1 million domestically and $120 million globally. It cost $70 million, and the studio only gets to keep roughly half of ticket sales, so it’ll need to keep singing in theaters to justify its cost. It has topped the charts for the second consecutive weekend despite three new releases. Sony and Crunchyroll’s anime sequel Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba — To the Hashira Training fared the best among newcomers with $11.5 million from 1,949 theaters — enough for the No. 2 spot. Hilary Swank’s inspirational drama Ordinary Angels opened in third place with an uninspired $6.2 million from 3,020 venues, while director Ethan Coen’s comedic thriller Drive-Away Dolls crash-landed in eighth place with a grim $2.5 million from 2,280 locations. Elsewhere, Madame Web couldn’t overcome its terrible reception and dropped to fourth place. It collected $6 million from 4,103 theaters, a harsh 61% decline from its initial outing. Universal and Illumination’s animated comedy Migration rounded out the top five with $3 million from 2,434 venues in its 10th weekend of release. To date, the family film has grossed $120 million at the domestic box office and a solid $268 million worldwide. https://variety.com/2024/film/box-of...es-1235922000/ February 23-25, 2024: Weekend Studio Estimates 1. Bob Marley: One Love $13,500,000 / $71,188,696 2. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba - To the Hashira Training $11,575,000 3. Ordinary Angels $6,500,000 4. Madame Web $6,000,000 / $35,445,974 5. Migration $3,000,000 / $120,445,885 6. Argylle $2,800,000 / $41,691,585 7. Wonka $2,535,171 / $214,547,000 8. Drive-Away Dolls $2,400,000 9. The Beekeeper $1,962,567 / $63,145,000 10.
