I'm a fan of old radio shows, and particularly "Fibber McGee & Molly". One of my fellow collectors recently told me that Jim Jordan, the actor who played "Fibber McGee", once appeared on "Chico And The Man". I find that hard to believe, and I can't recall an episode of "Chico" with Mr. Jordan on it.
DID he ever appear on the show? |

Jim Jordan played Mr. Maxwell in "Old Is Gold". I checked it out on the IMDB. I think Mr. Maxwell was the man Ed hired in the garage and then treated him like he was too old to do anything.

Yes, that was Jim Jordan alright, Fibber McGee himself, playing the older gentleman who Ed thinks is too old to be working. Jordan finally gets fed up and leaves. Funny episode.

Did he spout any of his "Fibberisms" like "dad-drat" or "Junior" or anything like that?

If I remember correctly Mr. Maxwell from mighty mac mufflers on CATM did refer to Ed as Junior. If not it was some term used to describe a younger person Jr. or kiddo something like that.
