Person, Place, or Thing is Stricter than Jeopardy!

In one area, anyway. In tonight's Person Place or Thing that just finished, Pete said Ryan Reyn- at that point, knowing he had the wrong one and switched to Ryan Gosling. Melissa said she had to take his first answer, and Pete's opponent capitalized on that miss. On Jeopardy, if you correct your question before Ken rules after you have said the whole question, the change is accepted. Pete hadn't even finished saying Reynolds before attempting to change it.
