Umm....both of those answers are right. Just because they aren't what you thought of doesn't mean that they are wrong.

Okay, at first I went with the obvious, as stated: African-American.

Then I went with the flippant: they all have the letter "f" in the title somewhere.

Then I got curious and started researching. Whether or not this is what you're after, I think it's kind of interesting:

Each show had a change of actor playing a particular role.

The Jeffersons -
Lionel Jefferson was played by: Mike Evans, then Damon Evans, then Mike Evans again.

Family Matters -
Harriette (Harriet) Winslow was played by: Jo Marie Payton-Noble, then by Judyann Elder.

Fresh Prince -
Vivian Banks was played by: Janet Hubert-Whitten, then by Daphne Reid.

No that is not the answer either-the only way this question can be answered if a person seen every episode of all three shows.

Since you obviously have your own agenda, here is a list of connections:

1. Jaleel White starred in Family Matters and guest starred in an episode of The Jeffersons and The Fresh Prince.

2. Sherman Hemsley starred in The Jeffersons and guest starred on Family Matters and The Fresh Prince.

3. Earl Boen guest starred in all three shows.

4. Rodney Kageyama guest starred in all three shows.

5. Arnold Johnson guest starred in all three shows.

So, take your pick. They're all correct answers.

Everything you said is true, but not the answer i'm looking for-It was something wacky that the producers of all three shows did that will never be forgotten. Does that help you

Well, if you mean, bringing in a little kid to make the show "cute" that can't really be said about The Jeffersons, because Ebonie Smith only appeared as Jessica Jefferson in a couple of episodes. The Cosby Show, Who's the Boss? and The Brady Bunch are better examples than The Jeffersons.

The only other thing I can think of is the multiple actors playing characters.

Right-all three shows had two people playing one character

Jeffersons-Two Lionels
Family Matters-Two Harriets
Fresh Prince-Two Vivians
