In addition to starring in Happy Days Anson Williams starred in his only commercial for McDonald's in the 1970's. I don't know when in the 70's this commercial debuted but my guess might be 1976 or 1977. Anyway the commercial begins with McDonald's workers singing a Broadway styled song about how McDonald's treats it's customers and how they do the best they can for customers. Anson Williams is seen at the end of the commercial with all the employees standing in front of McDonald's. I didn't know Anson Williams did commercials until I saw this one and I wonder how and why McDonald's chose Anson Williams of all celebrities to do this commercial?

I did some more research on this commercial and discovered that another celebrity appears with Anson Williams in this commercial and that celebrity happens to be John Amos of Good Times and the song they sing is the famous "You Deserve A Break Today" jingle/slogan. I wonder what made Anson Williams and John Amos team up to do a commercial for McDonald's? Are they best friends in real life? McDonald's also debuted this commercial in 1971

I had no idea that John Amos appeared in this McDonald's commercial with Anson Williams and now that John Amos is gone I would like to know if John Amos did any other McDonald's commercials throughout the 70's as well. It's amazing to see Anson Williams and John Amos team up and do this commercial together. Like I mentioned in my opening post in this thread I wonder if Anson Williams and John Amos were best buddies in real life?
