If you were a fan of Star Trek The Next Generation chances are you might've collected the Playmates Star Trek The Next Generation toys. The toyline debuted in 1992 when Star Trek The Next Generation was really huge and big in TV each with their own commercials. The first commercial for the toyline debuted with an introduction to all the figures in the line and featured kids at the beginning acting out scenes from the episodes with the figures when the kids get transported into the Enterprise and the commercials with the theme song. As the 90's went on so did the Star Trek The Next Generation toyline which expanded to add more character and villains figures and even playsets had their own commercials as well. Though Playmates stopped producing the Star Trek The Next Generation toys to focus on the Star Trek Deep Space Nine toyline these toys and commercials are very collectible for Star Trek fans
