How come we never saw Arnold's bully-the gooch? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I was always puzzled that the gooch was never shown on the show. We heard of him all the time but never saw him-I want to meet the gooch.

I don't think there was ever a need to show the character, they probably thought it would be more effective for the viewer to build up their own idea of what he would look like.

Arnold used to build him up as being such a huge monster. If we actually did see him I think we would be disappointed.

I guess I always felt that it wasn't no need to constantly hear about a character that will never be seen

I used to want to see the Gooch to. Now that I'm older I 'm glad I
didn't because like someone said, if we really did see the Gooch I think we would all be disappointed.
