Well, my friends, someone on another board posted that ebay had a Dean Martin Roast tape available. It is the Ali roast and Freddie is on it.
Say a prayer for me. I REEEEEEALY hope I get this. I have tapes of CATM but nothing of Freddie doing his stand up. Well, I have the record but no Merv shows. Anyway....wish me luck....I'll let you all know if I get it! |

I hope you win the item, those Ebay auctions can discourage you and can also worry you. I am definitely praying for you!! ![]() Speaking of owning tapes which have Freddie on them, I am taping his E! True Hollywood Story as I'm typing this message. I had vowed that the next time E! aired it, I would tape it. When ever the network would air it previously to today, I would just sit there watching it without thinking of putting one of my blank videotapes in the VCR in order to tape it. What a fool I am.

You're not alone. I remember the first time I had bidded for a certain item and the price was $10.25 before I had placed my bid. Next thing you know I showed up, read the word "Incrediments" and said to myself, "Whatever", typed in "$.83" and then pressed the button in order to submit it. Not too long after that, I received an e-mail from the seller in which stated, "WTH!". I responded by saying,"Hey, I don't know what in the heck I'm doing but all I know is that I want that item." He was going to accept the money anyway, so I was hardly worried. |

Good luck with winning the bid on it! I got mine off of E-Bay & it is good! I just wish he were in it more. I think I got it for around $5 or $7 something like that. He isn't in the 2nd roast that one the tape tho. Too bad they didn't put both his roasts on the asme tape. I now need the Sammy Davis Jr Roast with him in it & the Best of the Dean Martin Roasts with him in it. Good luck!
![]() I checked out the E-TV site & it is only listed as being on the time you saw it. http://www.eonline.com/On/Guide/wednesday.html I would've loved to have seen it but we were at the drs then & we don't have cable channels due to them not having cable out our way & can't find a descrambler for our old big satellite dish. Thank God I have a tape of it someone from on here made for me & saw it a coupla times at my parents house. It is soooo sad. I went thru plenty of hankies watching it. The parts with the funeral are so sad. Hanky time...

Sorry you didn't win it. We were rooting for you! I see where some folks from these boards won some Freddie stuff like articles, a card of his grave & a contract of his. I hope they will (hint, hint) post them on the boards so we can all see.
![]() I need some prayers bad! I have the top bid at $14.99 for the cardboard standup of Freddie advertising his LOOKING GOOD album. That has gone for real high prices like $500 the other 2 times I saw one up for auction & was way outta my price range. So I need prayers! LOL! Good luck to those bidding! |

Best of Luck Cheryl. I will say a prayer for you. I hope you are luckier than I was. I just hope the winner of the tape I missed went to a Chico lover. I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya.

Thanks for the support! I have the top bid so far...
![]() One problem with items that have Freddie in them but have other stars in them too like magazines & the DEAN MARTIN ROASTS is that fan of other stars will bid on them & outbid us. So we often not only are competing against strange folks who want the stuff cuz he is a dead comic but also against fans of other stars... Yikes! |
