Some "Millie & Jerry" Detective Work - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

As I was watching today's episode, #94, "Teacher's Petrie," in which Laura and Millie enrolled in a creative writing class, I noticed that Millie wrote about how neat Jerry was at work, but sloppy "as soon as he gets home." As we all know, Jerry's office, according to Rob back in episode #43, "A Man's Teeth are not his own," was "right next door;" signifying that Jerry's office is in his home. Did he move out?
In fact, Millie and/or Jerry are frequently referred to in various episodes as "Our next door neighbors," such as in episode #156, "Love Thy Other Neighbor," in which Laura says, "That Jerry has been playing at fixing the fence all day." Rob then calls to him from the patio door and he comes right in.
But then just before that, in episode #154, "The Man From My Uncle," agent Bond says he needs to have a "view of your neighbor's house across the street," and Rob asks him, "Who, Jerry?"
I did some checking, and it appears that whenever an episode was written by Garry Marshall and Jerry Belson, they didn't necessarily recognize Millie & Jerry as living right next door or having an in-home dental office -- I think.

Yes, I had some free time today!

Nice detective work, Steve! I never noticed those inconsitencies in where the Helpers lived. I always sort of assumed they lived next door and that Jerry's office was in the house. (I know, I know, you should never assume!

) You really do learn something new every day.
