Default This show is awful.

Just my opinion. I was a huge fan of the original series and it was one of the funniest shows ever. Almost slapstick with also a lot of heart and even sometimes some moving scenes. It was also wonderfully bizarre. Just a great formula and the show lasted many seasons.

This new show is absolute dreck. I have tried to watch it and just turn it off after five to ten minutes. Not funny and stupid. None of the characters are appealing, even now John Larroquette. I think because of him I was hoping the show would find its footing.

I watched about five minutes of their new Christmas episode. Nope.

Why is this still on and why hasn’t all the critics just hate it like me?

It started off with really strong ratings last year, and got renewed very quickly. It's ratings fell very steadily after that, though.

I didn't see the Christmas episode, but have seen the rest. They just don't seem determined to make people laugh. The thing where you had at least seven people circled around the judge's bench, all throwing lines about some case was a great comic device, and the new show seldom even tries that.

There should be a joke every episode about the difference in Dan and Abby's heights. It's a free chuckle, but they never go there.

The Christmas episode was really good with a lot more case humor, made me think the current version is getting better. But episode 2 which was the timeslot premiere was back down to the usual so-so, Neil's replacement at least is still an upgrade. And one thing that did NOT need fixed from season 1 was the theme song. That has been removed entirely for both season 2 episodes.
