Yesterday Sitcoms Online's blog posted their annual tribute to the sitcom actors/producers, etc. who died that year. It is always well done, I have not read this year's yet but will when I have time.

Yes, it's always well-done, but sad. I wonder if they have tributes done in advance for older people in the business, such as Norman Lear was and Dick Van Dyke is.

It's good to remember people. We don't have any pre-drafted obits. I can see why some sites do them that way for older people in the business. They just need to insert a few details before publishing them.
I added around 15 people who we didn't cover during the year. There didn't seem to be as many deaths this year compared to the last few years. Hopefully I didn't miss any. |

We just lost British actor Tom Wilkinson.
![]() I don't think he did much comedy, but he recently reprised his role for The Full Monty series on FX on Hulu. https://tvline.com/news/tom-wilkinso...ad-1235104791/ |

It's also worth to mention S Club 7 member Paul Cattermole who passed in April 2023.
The pop group filmed various comedy series where they played fictionalized versions of themselves throughout the late 1990s into the early 2000s. These used to air on ABC Family here in the States. Barry Williams played their manager in one of the series. |

Annie Wersching died in Jan. 2023.
For comedy series, she appeared on "Frasier" and the short-lived "Out of Practice" in 2005 and "No Ordinary Family" in 2010. |

Something that wasn't mentioned about Norman Lear: he paid for the making of the iconic Princess Bride movie out of his own pocket when major studios wouldn't finance it.

Do you think it's also good to get into fights over an aspect of a particular actor's career of personal life following that actor's death, and that fight gets so nasty to the point of getting suspended or banned, and then have to give that deceased actor the "Chris Benoit" treatment and erase him or her from history, by way of avoiding discussing that actor on this or any forum or avoiding watching anything featuring that deceased actor, mainly for fear of getting in future trouble?
