An I Love Lucy New Years Eve:

(Ricky is on the phone with Ryan Seacrest.)

Ricky: “Yes Ryan, I would be thrilled to drop the ball in Times Square tomorrow.”

(Lucy comes by.)

Lucy: “Ricky, I need to speak to you.”

Ricky: “I’ll talk to you tomorrow. Good night.”

(He hangs up and turns to Lucy.)

Ricky: “No.”

Lucy: “You said no before I even asked you.”

Ricky: “I know what the question is. You are going to ask me if you can drop the ball with me and Ryan Seacrest tomorrow.”

Lucy: “Could I? I promise you that I won’t embarrass you.”

Ricky: “No. But, I do have good news for you and the Mertzes. I will call them over the intercom.”

(Ricky calls them over the intercom.)

Ricky: “Fred & Ethel, I just talked with Ryan Seacrest about dropping the ball in Times Square. You two, Little Ricky and Lucy can come and get to mingle with the celebrities.”

Ethel (over intercom): “I’m so excited. Fred is dancing up a storm.”

(Ricky laughs.)

Lucy: “Ethel, I have to get my dress and such.”

Fred (over intercom): “This will be the first time I EVER took Ethel out to NYC for New Years…and not have to pay for it.”

(Ricky laughs.)

(At the New Year’s Eve party, Ricky is talking with Ryan Seacrest whom the crowd cheers. Everyone else is sitting at a table.)

Lucy: “Fine thing. I can’t even talk to Ryan and Ricky.”

Fred: “Whether you are near a star, there’s trouble. That is why Ricky said no. On a side note, I’m glad I don’t have to pay for ANYTHING tonight.”

Ethel: “You never pay for anything.”

(Lucy takes another drink of wine.)

Ethel: “Lucy, please drink responsibly.”

Lucy: “Don’t worry. I won’t cause a scene.”

(After everyone else walks around, Lucy had too much to drink and acts similar to the tune she did in the Vitameatavengamin episode. It’s 11:59p. Ricky is at the countdown area with Ryan.)

Ryan: “Ok Ricky. Let’s go.”

(Lucy comes by and tries to drunkenly kiss Ricky on TV.)

All (yell): “10…9…8…”

Lucy (to the camera, yells drunkenly): “HIIIIIIII EVERYONE!”

(She chases Ricky around.)

All (yell): “…2…1…”
