'Friends' Cast Will Be There for Emmys Fri, Sep 13, 2002 01:54 PM PDT LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - All six "Friends" will take part in the 54th Primetime Emmy Awards. The cast -- Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox Arquette, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer -- will present an award at the ceremony at L.A.'s Shrine Auditorium. "Friends," the top-rated show on television last season, is up for 11 Emmys, including best comedy series. Aniston, LeBlanc and Perry all scored lead acting nominations. Aniston has two previous nominations -- both in the supporting actress category -- while the two guys are nominees for the first time. The group joins a list of presenters that includes NBC stars Martin Sheen ("The West Wing") Eric McCormack and Debra Messing ("Will & Grace"), Suzanne Pleshette ("Good Morning Miami"), Jean Smart and Dennis Farina ("In-Laws") and Kelsey Grammer ("Frasier"). The awards are on NBC this year. Other presenters include nominees Bernie Mac ("The Bernie Mac Show") and Jennifer Garner ("Alias"), Marg Helgenberger ("CSI" ) and Bob Newhart. Conan O'Brien will host the Emmys, which will air live at 8 p.m. ET Sunday, Sept. 22. |
