"The Neighborhood" Adds Skye Townsend to Season 6 Cast

Skye Townsend (Black Lady Sketch Show) has joined the cast of the CBS comedy "The Neighborhood" for Season 6 in a recurring role. The show returns with new episodes on February 12.

Townsend’s character Courtney is loosely based on Sarah Francis Jones, girlfriend of Marcel Spears, and her real-life experience going into labor at a Beyoncé Renaissance concert.

Courtney is described as very smart—she entered MIT at 16 and worked at JPL before 21— very cool, very outgoing and with a great sense of humor. She worked with Marty (Spears) at JPL and he’s recently hired her as an electrical engineer at The Fuse Box. A few months back, they hooked up and now Courtney is pregnant. She’s very upfront about the fact that she likes Marty, but she won’t marry him.
