Default Ages of the kids and Mike & Carol etc

How old were the kids in the 1st episode? I think Cindy was 5 or 6 and Greg was 14 or 15, Marcia was 13 or 14 and Bobby was 6 or 7, and Jan 10 or 11 and Pete 12 or 13. Where Mike & Carol about the same age? I would there ages were about the same age as in real-life.
How does the tie in the Brady TV movies? I am currently watching A Very Brady Christmas on TV and Cindy was still in college. Was Cindy supposed to two year younger then Bobby since it seems she was almost finished with hee under grad while was supposed to be doing his MBA.

Marcia was 11 or 12 in the first season. She was just in Jr High when they ran for president against each other. She went to high school in season 4 which you go when you are 15 (Freshman). Greg was around 13 and 3 seasons away from driving.

Junior High school was usually 7-9th grades which means 12-15 years old. Was Marcia actually 12?

9th grade is usually a freshman in high school. 10th grade is sophomore and 11th grade junior and 12th grade senior. In the episode Today I am a Freshman would have Marcia going to high school which would be around age 15. If you rewind 3 earlier seasons it would be logical she was 12 and in jr high in the first season when she ran for student body president against Greg in Jr High. Marcia learns to drive the next season which would make her 16. I think her age is easiest to figure out.

I wondered, did Bobby and Cindy catch up with Greg and Marsha in age? I mean in the final season were Bobby and Cindy the ages Greg and Marsha were in the first season?

I admit that threw me, since junior high is usually 7-9, and middle school(grades 6-8)was uncommon in those days. Maybe Fillmore Jr. High only had grades 7 and 8?

I just saw an interview with Susan. She said she was 8 and cast to play a 5 year old when the series started. The first season they could get away with it. However, Cindy would have been 10 when the series ended. Susan was 13 and starting to fill out. It was insane how they kept her in pigtails so late. It was not until the second half of the last season that her hair finally came down. This is why she hates the Shirley Temple episode so bad. She was 13 and playing a role for an 8 year old.
