Netflix’s "No Good Deed" Adds Linda Cardellini, Luke Wilson, Teyonah Parris, Abbi Jacobson & Poppy Liu

Netflix’s new dark comedy "No Good Deed", from creator-EP Liz Feldman (Dead to Me), has expanded its cast.



- Linda Cardellini (Dead to Me) will play Margo Starling, a perfectly-coiffed status seeker with buried secrets to spare, who knows how to get what she wants — and what she wants is the in-demand Morgan house so she can flip it for profit with her lover, a high-end developer.


- Luke Wilson (Fingernails) will play JD Campbell, a depressed, out-of-work soap opera star desperate to land his next job, who’s looking to downsize from his modern McMansion while still maintaining both his lavish lifestyle and his marriage to a demanding wife.


- Teyonah Parris (The Marvels) will play Carla, a high-achieving and somewhat sardonic architect and expectant mother. Carla and new husband Dennis are on the hunt for the perfect home for their expanding family. The former falls hard for the Morgan house but the impending financial stress reveals some cracks in her new marriage.


- Abbi Jacobson (A League of Their Own) will play Leslie Fisher who is clever, curious and competitive to a fault. She’s thrilled to discover that the Los Feliz home she and her wife have admired from afar has finally come on the market.


- Poppy Liu (Hacks) will play the soulful, grounded and uncompromisingly decent Sarah, who often serves as a much-needed moral compass to wife Leslie (Jacobson) — though she’s not without some secrets of her own. She’s intrigued when the Morgan house comes on the market but has some deep reservations.

Denis Leary & O-T Fagbenle Board Netflix’s "No Good Deed"

Emmy Award nominees Denis Leary (Rescue Me, Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll) and O-T Fagbenle (The Handmaid’s Tale, Black Widow) are rounding out the cast of the Netflix 8-episode series "No Good Deed".

Leary plays Mikey, an intense ex-con whose debts have driven him to desperate measures. Mikey finds himself in a dark hole after a terrible accident derailed his sobriety and pulled him away from his family.

Fagbenle plays Dennis, a tirelessly upbeat, deeply anxious and overly appeasing struggling writer. Dennis is in the market for a new family home for wife Carla (Teyonah Parris) and their baby on the way. He’s eager to play the role of supportive husband and father while being caught in the middle of a tense relationship between his new wife and his overly-enmeshed mother.

Liz Feldman’s Netflix Series "No Good Deed" Adds Five to Cast (EXCLUSIVE)

Liz Feldman’s upcoming Netflix dark comedy series “No Good Deed” has added five recurring cast members, Variety has learned exclusively:



- Matt Rogers (Fire Island, I Love That for You) is Greg.

The gregarious, charming and slightly smug realtor handling the sale of the Morgan home, Greg is acutely aware of the gem he has on his hands and knows how to keep prospective buyers interested in this highly sought-after home.



- Anna Maria Horsford (Pose, Friday) is Denise.

Dennis’ (O-T Fagbenle) namesake and loving but highly-critical mother is a little too involved in her son and daughter-in-law’s house-hunting journey.



- Kate Moennig (The L Word, Ray Donovan) is Gwen.

Beautiful, sharp and aloof, Gwen is a high-end developer and Margo’s (Linda Cardellini) potential business partner. Both are intrigued by the Morgan home which could prove to be a very lucrative investment.



- Linda Lavin (Alice) is Phyllis.

Paul and Lydia’s overly involved neighbor who is always a little too aware of the goings-on in the community.



- Newcomer Wyatt Aubrey is Jacob.

Paul (Ray Romano) and Lydia’s (Lisa Kudrow) teenage son who has dealt with some difficulties navigating adolescence.
