When did Ralph stop wearing that red "Gems" jacket? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

When the series started, Ralph was supposed to be this cool kid who actually got girls (that's why he had a hot rod). He was part of a car gang called The Gems, and wore a jacket with their name on it (he is hanging out with fellow Gems members in All The Way). With the whole mood change that season 3 brought, Ralph was no longer a cool kid, and now what Fonzie called a "nerd". His hot rod didn't appear again after season 3 or 4 (though it was shown at the end of the intros up until season 7), but does anyone know when he stopped wearing the "Gems" jacket? Also, what kind of jacket was it?
