After the success of The West Wing NBC decided to launch another drama that was also created by the creators of The West Wing called The Lyon's Den. The Lyon's Den starred Rob Lowe Elizabeth Mitchell Kyle Chandler and James Pickens Jr. as they played lawyers meant to help solve cases around Washington D.C. Despite very good acclaim from NBC and one of NBC's most wanted to watch shows from previews and teaser trailers in December 2002 The Lyon's Den was shortly cancelled after many episodes weeks after it's debut in 2003. In my eyes The Lyon's Den should've never gotten cancelled and I think NBC should've promoted it more because it seemed to be a good show
Why did NBC cancel The Lyon's Den?

As is often the case with cancellations, The Lyon's Den was pulled because of terrible ratings. It had poor retention from lead-in Law and Order: Criminal Intent. I really liked The Lyon's Den, too bad Nielsen households didn't. Kyle Chandler earlier had starred in my all time favorite show Early Edition.

I think NBC should've given The Lyon's Den a second chance because it had a good chance of surviving and NBC would've given The Lyon's Den more episodes because it had good acting and a great storyline
