Yahoo Email Addresses - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Did you know that when you want to sign up for Yahoo email addresses now you have to have a credit card number?? I was trying to sign one up for my brother, and they asked me for his credit card number. He's 12, and I'm 14. I dont think we have credit cards...and so they ask for our parents #s. That's so stupid. If it's free, why do they need to know??

really? When I registered there about 3 months ago I wasn't asked for one. That's strange to ask for? Why would the need it?

Yeah theres basic mail which is free. And then theres one with more storage space and options which cost some money.

They probably want that kind of information so they can sell it to a third party. Some companies make good bucks selling lists of other people's names and personal info.

Yeah, me either. And that was about 6 months ago?? Maybe I cant remember...but that just pissed me off! It was the basic thing, cuz I'm not willing to pay anything so I can get email.
