Why didn't Anson Williams and Donny Most return to HD for the last episode? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I always wondered why Anson williams and Donny Most never returned for the Joanie and Chachi wedding. Especially since they both was seen on Happy Days in 1983 which was only a year beore the show ended. So if someone can help me with this that would be great.

I have no idea why the actors themselves chose not to return, but from a character prospective, I suppose the producers figured that Ralph was away at optomotry (sp?) school and since he wasn't really THAt close to Joanie why bother having him come back for the wedding. (Although I think he was close enough to Chachi...oh well.) As far as Potsie, that's different. I mean, he was still "in town", as far as we know...he definately should've been there. I've always wondered about that too.

In fact, it's the topic of my next fan fic "mini-drama", The Dating Game. It's a three part "missing episode" that takes place right before the actual last episode, that explains in great detail why Potsie wasn't in the last episode, and is also a bit of a prelude to the whole, Joanie and Chachi getting back together thing, as it was kind of out of the blue when in happened on the show. Basically, it's a reversal of what happened in "They Call it Potsie Love". Remember when Potsie said "I have a feeling when I'm 22 and you're 19 you're not going to feel the same way about me...and I'm going to wish you did"? Well, that's the basis of my story. I'll be posting info here on the board as I get closer to finishing it...

Yeah I agree but here is what it says about that in a VERY early post by TJ form April 2001 :

Ralph Malph (Donny Most) was not it in the final episode either. My friend in Italy interviewed Donny (and Anson) and he said he didn't know why he wasn't in the last episode as he came back with Ron Howard in an earlier episode when they came back from the Army. It was really the producers' decision for both of them not appearing in the finale

VERY SAD ISNT IT, THE PRODCUERS..WHAT WERE THEY THINKNIG GRRRRRRRRRRR!! But, I think its sad, but I LVOEA the producers of that show hwy would they do this? Also if it werent for the prdocuers there would be no Ralph and Potsie or Happy Days!!!
