Do I look liek the person who wants to go through ridiculous iniations to get in? Hell no. I'd be perfectly fine with living in a dorm.

When i was in College, I joined a Fraternity, Kappa Delta Phi.

Pledging to get in was a bit of a pain sometimes, but if you have a good sense of humor about it, plus a decent group of guys to pledge with, it can be fun.
Plus, I had to spend a lot of time with the guys I pledged with, and we became good friends. I sitll keep in touch with a lot of those guys.
Fraternities can make college life a little more bareable, because when you join one you automatically have a group of friends who you can hang out with and that have similar interests.

Plus, the kickass parties. Always fun.
