Are VHS versions of holiday movies very collectible? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I noticed that there is a high market for VHS versions of holiday movies and it makes me wonder if VHS versions of holiday movies are collectible? For example I found the original 1983 VHS of A Christmas Story and if you can find it it is worth $19 and I wonder since the release of A Christmas Story on DVD the VHS version has gone up in value? I also learned that if you have the original entire Rankin-Bass holiday specials VHS set the complete set is $44 but if missing one video it can be up to $20. Another video that is sought after is A Charlie Brown Christmas and if you have the Shell exclusive VHS version it is worth $50. I never knew people collected holiday VHS tapes and it seems to be a smart hobby

I have a VHS cassette of the 1992 Christmas Cartoon titled "Noel", I think it's a fairly scarce item to find now, don't know what the current market value of it would be but I'm keeping it and not planning to sell it.

Yes I love having the earliest copies of movies I can get on VHS because production went downhill and then digital came in and ruined what I think is beautiful......

I have these movies on VHS

Its a wonderful life (1946) - 1981 VHS release (Media)

Its on the original 16mm reels and looks/sounds goregous

Miracle on 34th street (1947) - 1980 VHS release (Magnetic Video)

Christmas Carol (1951) - 1987 VHS release (United Home Video)

I had found a much earlier release but sadly it didnt show up..... (We ended up getting a refund
