Before he played Max Horvath, Michael Lembeck was 'part of a rock band' called "Kaptain Kool and the Kongs" on ABC's The Krofft Supershow. Who else here remembers them?

Loved The Krofft Supershow as a kid, besides Katain Kool, there was Dr. Shrinker,
Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, Wonderbug, Magic Mongo, Bigfoot and Wildboy

Total crush on Dyna Girl, and I used to pretend my Luke Skywalker and Chewbacca action figures were Bigfoot and Wild Boy (true story)

He was on a show with Cindy Williams in the either late 1969 or early 70's. Can't think the name of it but it was as I remember a skit type show with different aged actors. Burt Mustin and Queenie Smith ?? play a older couple and CW and ML were another young couple and 4 more actors were 2 other couples. ?? The Funny Side might the name.

My dad had a Kaptain Kool And The Kongs record album and I didn't even know we had it until we were trying out a record player that my uncle had just gave my dad because my uncle WAS gonna take the record player home but there was too much room in my aunt's rental car so my uncle gave the record player to my dad and after my aunt left my dad plugged in the record player and we were searching the house for a record and I found Kaptain Kool And The Kongs and Dad put it in the record player and Mom and I found ourselves dancing to it but I never knew Michael Lembeck was a singer and from what we discovered about Kaptain Kool And The Kongs was their songs were fun. I wonder if the album Dad has was their debut album?
