Default What did you think of the 1st show?

I thought it was good. My wife on the other hand didn't like it but she was in and out of the room so she wasn't really watching. I think some of the pranks the kids will be pulling in future episodes should be funny. We'll see.

I thought it was okay. I wasn't really watching the whole episode. I kept on going from Friends to Family Affair. From Scrubs to Family Affair and Lizzie McGuire. But it looked okay. I don't think the jokes were that good though.

Oh my god I hate this show. The comedy is dull, and it seems like a movie, and not even a good one. The canned laughter was so noticable. I hope this is cancelled soon. When Family Affair will be fighting with Survivor and Friends for ratings, then it is in for a tough battle.

If the show sticks around the entire season, the laugh track will probably be gone by episode 13. Shows usually go through some sort of retooling by that episode.

On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the best) I would give it a 7, there were 3 things I did not like:

1. The laugh track.

2. Jody. (I think they should have choosen a different Jody)

3. Sissy talks too much.

Other then that I love the show.

'Cause it can fall as hard as it wants to
Gingerly drip down a lover’s face
Cry for hours and weeks on end
And never feel a bit out of place
And it can feed a field, put out a fire
And never feel the pain
I wish I were the rain
I wish I were the rain
I wish I were the rain
Oh Yeah, I wish I were the rain
-I Wish I were The Rain

I'd give it a 2, a 3 at best.

I thought the laugh track belongs in the show. I liked the Jody, he acted fine. And, Sissy was so hot, it didn't matter how much she talked .

Luke Benward, who played Jody in the pilot, will be replaced by Jimmy "Jax" Pinchak starting with the second episode.

Tim Curry is the only good thing about this show. The script was horrible, and the little actress playing Buffy was wooden. The laugh track was completely out of place on a show that was clearly not filmed in front of an audience, but rather filmed like a movie (dark lighting and all).

Since the show looks like a movie I think they need to get rid of the laugh track..it just seems out of place. Tim Curry was the funniest thing in the show and I thought the kids did well.

While I'm sure the show got tremendous ratings with the one hour "preview episode" the other night, it will not survive the heavy competition from returning shows.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the genre of "family" shows; cute kids an lots of hugging tend to make me woozy, the pilot was amusing; mostly because of Tim Curry.

BlairandJo was right, Sissy does talk too much, but I was happy to see they made her a pleasant teenager, not a surly brat like say Rachael Green on "E.R."
