Sad More info on an old question

I found this on eBay. We had been speculating months ago whether the funeral was open or closed casket. Here is the answer. BTW the part about him being put in the ground, some places will do this for the funeral and place the casket in the above ground crypt later. Maybe that is what happened here. Dunno.

I remember posting this under open or closed. Infact it was my very first post on this board. Now we know for the funeral the casket was closed, but in private I wonder if Maria and Karl got to view their son for the last time?

I wonder that too. Thanks for sharing that. It was such a sad article. It's got me reaching for the hankies... Bless his heart. It also appears that Kathy got over her guilt over his death awfully quick tho...

Default Thanx mucho, Lucky! And yes, Cheryl...

It does seem like Kathy put it behind her quickly. I do notice an inaccuracy about her, though--based on what she said in the E! True Hollywood Story interview, she was not in the room when they pulled the plug. She said that she said her goodbyes and left before that because she couldn't deal with it. Plus, her recollection was that both Maria and Karl stayed in the room--which this article also has wrong. Maybe they have the wrong information about the nature of his burial then, too? Someone might have told them that in order to keep the fans from mobbing the area where the crypt was, though...

This is so sad.

It's quite understandable that his casket was closed because of the damage that had been done to his head resulting from the impact of the bullet.

I vow to never read another article about his death again because it's just so sad and tragic. Although it IS reality, it's very emotional. *Sniff, Sniff *

I also remember what Kathy had stated on E!, so that info in which was printed in that article regarding her being in the room while he was taken off life support was bogus.

See, this is what we were discussing the other day on here. The media is hardly ever accurate when it comes to facts.
