One time I bought just one small chili pepper, that's all I needed to make some Spanish rice , I didn't want it too hot. The cashier weighed it and it came to 3 cents !

And one time I bought one brussel sprout ! I asked the produce guy if they had any brussel sprouts in the back and he said the shipment didn't come in . There litterally was only one little Brussel sprout left, so I bought it, I could mix it in with broccoli for dinner. The cashier kind of looked at it funny as she was checking out my groceries and I told her what happened , me rescuing the poor Brussel sprout that was left behind. I forget how much it came to, I was buying a full list of food and groceries that time.

Something you wouldn't by one of is a shoe !

You ruined my one grape example. Now next week I'm going to have to try to buy just one grape.

You can't buy just one chopstick.

Oh yeah really !! They will think you are the most honest person in the world. Instead of just " sampling " one grape on the sly you just wanted only one and purchased it . A model citizen !

Right . In this day and age if more than one person lives in a residence , there is more than one TV. Even a single person with a big place most likely has more than one television.
