I thinking purchasing the forthcoming blu-ray version of Leave it to Beaver: The Complete Series [Blu-Ray], coming out November 14th.
I already have the regular DVD Leave it to Beaver: The Complete Series. The series began in 1958-1963. There is zero details on the blu-ray version like is it going to be redigitalized into 16:9 format or still be 4:3? The regular version was not to clear with 480i being the screen resolution. I think it was shot in 35mm film like the movies. So the powers to be can easily increase the resolution to 4K. What do you guys think will be the blu-ray version of Leave it to Beaver: The Complete Series [Blu-Ray]? |

I imagine it’ll be the same HD masters used on Peacock, which are 4x3.

Leave it to Beaver was on two different tv networks during it TV run.
CBS first broadcast the show on October 4, 1957, but dropped it after one season. ABC picked it up and aired it for another five years, from October 2, 1958, to June 20, 1963. It proved to be a scheduling challenge for both networks, airing on four different evenings (Wednesday through Saturday) throughout its run. |

I have decided to wait for the reviews at Amazon before buying the Blu-Ray edition. If it is digitalized at 16:9 format and increase to HD screen resolution, I probably buy it. Otherwise, wait for the 4K version to be release. the
