What city in California was the spinoff-"The Ropers" based in? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I know that three's company was based in santa monica but does anyone know what city the Ropers was based in?

It was also based in Santa Monica or somewhere around it because itw as mentioned that they only lived a short distance away from the apartments.

The Ropers moved to Cheviot Hills, a real city. Similiar to Beverly Hills, Bel Air and Brentwood. Also located in the same area as those cities. I think I remember Helen mentioning Cheviot Hills in the moving episode (but I'd have to watch it again to be sure).
