Rebecca Romijn is back at ABC, signing on to headline its drama pilot "Eastwick." Romijn, who most recently starred on the Alphabet's "Ugly Betty," will play the lead character on "Eastwick," Roxie Torcoletti. Thesp joins a cast that also includes Lindsay Price ("Joanna Frankel"), Jaime Ray Newman ("Kat Rougemont") and Paul Gross ("Darryl Van Horne"). "Eastwick" is based on John Updike's novel, "The Witches of Eastwick," as well as the 1987 feature film of the same name. Maggie Friedman is the scribe and exec producer, while David Nutter is directing "Eastwick," which comes from Warner Bros. TV. Romijn will next be seen in the indie film "The Love Child of Andy Warhol and Yoko Ono." She plays Belinda, an art dealer who discovers an ex-con who has a talent for sculpting. Thesp's credits also include the "X-Men" movies, in which she plays Mystique, as well as "Lies & Alibis" and "Lake City." Beyond "Betty," in which she continues to recur, Romijn's TV credits include "Pepper Dennis" and "House of Style," which she hosted. "Eastwick" revolves around three women who discover they have mystical powers when a mysterious man comes to town. |
