Just saw a you tube video with Atticus Shaffer he played Brick Heck on ABC the middle (2009-2018).

Anyways he got a little emotional talking about the set burning down. If you’re into like back stage sets and props the video is for you. You don’t necessarily have to be a fan of the middle to enjoy it. The video was introduced in October 2023 but takes you back to 2015 on a lot of cool inside information on shows that were shot there. From the Three Stooges to Father Knows Best to The Donna Reed Show to Dennis the Menace to Hazel to The Monkees to I Dream Of Jeannie to Bewitched to The Waltons to FRIENDS to National Lampoons Christmas Vacation to Young Sheldon to the middle. It really gives you a perspective on how sets look so real yet are very different.

Atticus Shaffer is one of the most classiest people in the business and knows ethics very well! His video’s are always real informative as well.

Does anybody have information on a show that Eden Sher did this Summer 2023 called I Was on A Sitcom Eden Sher played Sue Heck on ABC the middle Directed By Charlie McDermott who played Axl Heck on ABC the middle.

I think they mostly tore down and demolished the houses and buildings on the Warner Bros. Ranch with bulldozers, cranes and other equipment. I guess they did burn down what was left of the Heck's house from The Middle for firefighting training.

Some of them like the original Dennis the Menace and Blondie houses burned down after a fire in the 1970s. They had to rebuild them.

It's sad the houses will no longer be there. They made a lot of history at that location. It's too bad they couldn't save or move the facades.

They will live forever on TV, DVDs, streaming and in films. There's a thread on our Bewitched forum about the Bewitched house being destroyed. There are quite a videos on YouTube by vloggers who took a tour of it the last few years. I'm glad they were able to document it before they demolished it to make way for new offices and sound stages.

I watched the Atticus Shaffer video. It has almost 300,000 views. I'm sure he has many good memories of growing up and being on the sets of The Middle.

80s Life did a video on the history of it with before and after pictures.

I Was On A Sitcom looks like a one hour comedy solo show. I guess it would be like a play or stand-up special. Maybe they filmed it to show it later as a special.

Thank you so much for posting all these videos & information.

So sad about those sets. OMG! I didn’t know that the Dennis the Menace/ houses set’s originally burned in the 70’s. Wow they burned down the Heck home from the middle? That’s sad. Seeing the National Lampoons Christmas House & Bewitched House demolished tore my heart up. I wonder if that’s why Young Sheldon had a tornado scene to take out 1 house-(set) already.

Sad to hear Eden Sher went through so much. Happy to hear she was able to express her emotions though through her play.
