When I was listening to music on Apple Music I discovered that in addition to acting on Charlie's Angels Cheryl Ladd also became a singer and released her lone album called Think It Over and it was released on Capitol Records in 1976 and I'm surprised that Cheryl Ladd fans don't remember this album. I was shocked at how wonderful Cheryl Ladd's singing voice was and she should've made it big in music. The title track is a cover of a Brenda Russell song that was an R&B hit for Brenda Russell on Brenda's debut album. And other songs Cheryl covers are Walking In The Rain and Dionne Warwick's I'll Never Love This Way Again. I didn't even know this album existed and this album should've gotten more promotion when it debuted
What's the story behind Think It Over by Cheryl Ladd? |

When I listened to Cheryl Ladd's lone album I was shocked at her singing talent and she reminds me of Suzanna Hoffs from The Bangles in her voice. I listened to her cover of I'll Never Love This Way Again and Cheryl's cover is so much better than Dionne Warwick's and is one song Cheryl Ladd sings well. I wonder why Cheryl Ladd never got the chance to release a second album because she really can sing

I think Cheryl Ladd did release a second album- I think it was called Dance Forever, or something like that- judging by the title, it seems to be a disco album. I bet it was released in mid- or late 1979, when disco had started to decline in popularity, which may have hurt sales of the album.

I have heard Brenda Russell's version of Think It Over and if you compare the two covers Cheryl Ladd's version of Think It Over is more upbeat while Brenda Russell's version is more of a ballad. But I think Cheryl Ladd deserved to be more popular and she should make a comeback album soon. Was her debut album a big seller when it debuted?
