Question Should Chrissy Snow have been killed off following the departure of Suzanne Somers?

The death of Suzanne Somers only sets up one major regret: No one in the cast and crew of Three's Company was ever asked about the possibility of killing off Chrissy Snow following the departure of Suzanne Somers after TC's fifth season. And now it doesn't look like anyone will ever step forward to discuss that possibility.

Because of this, I am very, very mad at every SitcomsOnline user who has stated that they wouldn't have killed off Chrissy Snow even with the circumstances of her firing from Three's Company. Given the Three's Company producers' attitude towards Ms. Somers with them never wanting her to ever return to TC, they really should have killed off Chrissy Snow no matter what. I will not ever change my mind on that subject. I guess Ms. Somers's death just one day before she turned 77 must sound like a punishment for her inflated ego when her demands for an increased salary got her fired from Three's Company in the first place.

James28 -
TC was a silly, light hearted sitcoms that didn't have (maybe once or twice) serious storylines.
Killing of a character would be too serious for a show like TC.

Back on topic:

Even though Suzanne Somers was almost 77 and she publicly announced she had cancer, it is still a shock to learn she had died.

She is a decade younger than her husband.

I don't care at this point, and don't try to make me care. I am beyond sick and tired of people here saying stuff like this. I wish people would just get over it already. If a show's producers hate an actor for any reason and don't want him/her ever invited back, killing off that actor's character is the only way. End of story.

Killing off her character would be stupid. And a memorial thread isn't the time and place to discuss it.

James28 -

Why are you so worked up over a fictional character?

In case you don't follow the news, there are a lot more important things going on in this world than to to get worked up over that the killing of a fictional character.
I'm also speaking as someone who has lost several family members to cancer.

This was/is a thread to mourn Suzanne Somers and not for your temper tantrums. I tried talking to you like a mature adult, which obviously you are not.

This will be my last post on this topic since I don't want to derail this thread further.

Oh, yeah? Was killing off James Sr. after John Amos left Good Times "stupid"? Killing off Chrissy Snow would not be stupid at all because of the producers' attitude towards Ms. Somers.

Hold on there, if you're going to call me what I think you're going to call me, you're better off leaving me the fxxk alone.

Frankly, I need to be "worked up" about this because I'm sick and tired of every user on this site repeating the same statement over and over, and because Suzanne Somers's death means there will be absolutely no one within the Three's Company cast and crew to be asked about whether its producers should have killed off Chrissy Snow. TJ should have asked one of the TC cast and crew himself about that possibility years ago, even after John Ritter himself died 20 years ago. And another reason I am "worked up" over this issue is because... I am just terrible at fanfiction.

James28,

I moved these posts to a new thread. The memorial thread wasn't the appropriate place. Feel free to edit the title if you want to continue the discussion here.

This was brought up in a previous thread.

No . I really don't think they should have killed off Chrissy ! I think how they had her leaving was the right way !

^^No, that simply wasn't enough. In fact, it was actually *********.

The producers of Three's Company clearly weren't even willing to write-off Chrissy very well. The only "right way" was killing Chrissy off long before Suzanne Somers died. Sometimes actors will outlive their characters. Not killing off Chrissy Snow made Three's Company a fxxked-up show.

I'm glad that the Chrissy Snow character was handled the way it was.

There always was the possibility that her character could have been reprised for a reunion movie.

It wasn't the only "right way" as it didn't happen that way, so...

Did you work on the show? Was it up to you?

What part of "the producers of Three's Company never wanted Suzanne Somers back on TC" are you not getting? They could've easily done a TCreunion movie with Chrissy completely absent.

James28, you don't have any say in where I can/cannot post. You don't have to respond to my posts.

It's a public forum.
