CBS wanted All in the Family to compete with Starsky and Hutch on Saturday Nights during the 1976-77 and moved the show to Saturday Nights

Oh yes, I wondered why I had recollections of seeing it Saturday nights when I also knew that years back the Partridge Family was moved to Friday nights to compete with (and lose) to All in T he Family.

That was the season it lost the #1 spot to Laverne and Shirley

The channel was always all CBS for me on Saturday nights back then. The only exception had been at times to flip over to ABC to watch Kung Fu when that was still airing.

Well they had the best shows the first half of the 70's
