Was En Vogue's Masterpiece Theater album not well received when it debuted?
In my box of music I found the En Vogue album Masterpiece Theater and when I listened to it I think that it was not well recieved when it first debuted in 2000 and it was a great album. I also can't figure out why Riddle was the most popular single released from that album but no other singles were released other than Riddle. I do know that Masterpiece Theater was gonna be En Vogue's successful album after their 1997 album EV3 came out after the departure of original member Dawn Robinson and I could never figure out why Dawn Robinson left En Vogue in the first place to do a solo career? Because Dawn Robinson was like Susanna Hoffs was to The Bangles and I think with Masterpiece Theater En Vogue felt that they would not continue without Dawn Robinson and this album got little promotion
